About Us

Our Background

Karakoram Himalayas Holidays mainly focuses on the Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan regions of Northern Pakistan bordering the Pamir region, Western China, and India. This region is where the world’s three greatest mountain ranges come  together--the Himalaya, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush. Its unique geographical and cultural features  are among  the world’s greatest tourism assets. 


The Managing Director of Karakoram Himalayas Holidays is Munir Hussein Kazmi. Mr. Kazmi has a four-decade long association with this region, which provides him an intimate knowledge of the region's geography and culture.

Our Services

Based in Islamabad, we have four decades of experience providing package tours of the Karakoram, Himalaya and Hindu Kush ranges. Our experienced guides are from the region and have extensive knowledge of the history and culture of local communities. In addition, we offer custom tours based on our guests specific interests.

Everybody we work with will see up close the world's great mountain ranges, but what makes our tours unique is our familiarity with local people and communities. A Taste of the Silk Road

  

  • This tour follows the Karakoram Highway from Islamabad to the Chinese border, paralleling the old Silk Road
  • Heading north to Gilgit, the capital city of Gilgit-Baltistan region, we'll pass through the Kohistan Valley and travel alongside the mighty Indus River until we arrive at the point where the Hindu Kush, Karakorum, and Himalaya ranges meet
  • North of Gilgit we'll travel through and stay in Nagar and Hunza in the heart of the Karakorum mountains
  • Along the way we'll meet with local people, see their culture, and enjoy their cuisine. 
  • Finally, we'll meet China at the Khunjerab Pass--at 16,200 feet, the world's highest navigable pass
